Hike to the Rittner Horn
A 2,260 m high panoramic summit
Forget your Netflix series, because here you'll find an unparalleled variety of landscapes. This isn't just a simple walk in the woods; it's an open-air cinema!
Option 1
From the Stöffl Hut, you can reach the Totensee: don't worry, at most, a few tired hikers are dozing here, taking a nap on the sun loungers. This is the perfect place to unwind and let your gaze wander over the gigantic Dolomites. We're talking about true superstars like the Sella Group, the majestic Marmolada, and the imposing Langkofel – they're posing just for your Instagram stories!
Option 2
You can choose the shorter and more leisurely option and simply stroll directly above Moar in Plun. You won't get to the Totensee this way, but you'll still have plenty of panoramic views and an authentic alpine hut feeling.
The absolute highlight, in every sense of the word, is the Rittner Horn (2,260 m). Here you can feel like kings and queens of the world, with a 360-degree panoramic view that will leave you speechless. From this elevated point, you'll then descend very relaxed (at least compared to the ascent!) to the Rittner Horn Haus. Who needs a red carpet when you have an alpine hut? From there, you'll reach the Stöffl Hut above Mair in Plun.
